This is the first of a 2-part post today since I've got two yummy recipes to share with you. But before I get to them I want to share with you one of my favourite reasons for eating local, in-season food. Of course, there are numerous reasons to do so: the food is much fresher, sometimes cheaper (though not always), often safer (less pesticides, chemicals and GMO's), better for the environment (less pollution transporting foods), and it helps the local economy. If you're growing some of your own food, it can also help you to become more self sufficient. |
